Librairie & Imprimerie Dabbous (LID) was established in Beirut in 1958 by its founder Wafic Ahmad Dabbous in the center of Beirut Business District, Azarieh building Bloc A5, ground floor.

Two years later, the late Chafic Ahmad Dabbous joined his elder brother to expand the business & its allocations , which consisted then of one shop for retail, an office (1st floor) for wholesale & five separate warehouses based in the same building.

In 1977, during the civil war & the destruction of Down Town Beirut, LID moved to a new location in Badaro near the Lebanese army barracks.

It remained there until 1981, when again the war was the reason for its relocating the business headquarters to Aisha Bakkar , Mounla building.

In 1991, LID moved again to its actual location, in Karakol Adduruz , Fawwaz & Bdeir building, main road .

Librairie & Imprimerie Dabbous deals with office, school & bank supplies, computer accessories & printers, ink, toners and ribbons in wholesale & retail in addition to the printing services provided by our sister company S. Dabbous Printing Press, making us one of the leading companies in Beirut & the suburbs in this line of business .

We import & manufacture some of our items in addition to being appointed dealers of all international brands available in the Lebanese market.

Today, Librairie & Imprimerie Dabbous is managed by Hani Wafic Dabbous & Karim Chafik Dabbous the second generation of the Dabbous family.
